Beth Allen

Beth Allen grew up in Eliot, Maine and found herself drawn north to Hancock County after high school.  She studied at the University of Maine in Orono. Beth works for KidsPeace New England (a residential treatment facility serving children.) Beth has been with the nonprofit for the past 12 years and has enjoyed the many roles she has held within the organization.  Beth and her partner Valerie are raising 2 daughters in Fletchers Landing Township. Beth, Valerie and daughter, Fiona (6) were thrilled to welcome their families’ newest addition, baby Oakley born in October.  Beth is active in her community, as Vice President of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Ellsworth and the Secretary of the Hancock County Democratic Committee.   She was bitten by the political bug when she became involved in the 2009 Marriage Equality campaign and was inspired by the elected officials she saw standing up for equality.   She is looking forward to becoming more involved with local politics in the coming years.
