Emerge Maine’s On-Line Application Debuts June 1st
Portland, ME----Emerge Maine, an organization which recruits, trains and inspires Democratic women to seek public office, debuts its first on-line application this week.
The application for the Emerge Class of 2013 will be available at: www.emergemaine.org/training/application on Friday June 1st.
“We’re streamlining our application process this year and offering an on-line application will make it much easier for potential candidates to apply for the program,” says Katie Mae Simpson, executive director of Emerge Maine. “We look forward to meeting and interviewing politically-minded women from around the state of Maine.”
Completed applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until July 7th. The organization plans to recruit and accept up to 25 candidates for its six month training program which begins in September 2012 and culminates in the class graduation in February 2013.
The non-profit organization which offers campaign training for Democratic women is looking for individuals who are committed to effective political leadership and are interested in running for elective office. It offers a comprehensive training program designed to give them the skills needed to win. They must be registered Democrats and residents of the state of Maine.
Currently there are 20 Emerge Maine alumnae running for office in the 2012 election cycle.
